It is an Australian tradition to grow tomatoes. As soon as the footy finishes, many thousands of Australians tend their vegetable patch which  includes growing a few tomatoes.

Part of this passion has been undoubtedly been ¬†fostered by the Greek and Italian communities that ¬†migrated to Australia in the 1970’s.

If you enjoy growing tomato seedlings, you may find some useful information here. Tomatoes are easy to grow and healthy to eat.

Where to find “Super Roma” seeds in Melbourne or online? I’ve tried San Marzano, not happy with them at all, or the yield, and do not want any F1 hybrids – prererably indeterminate, but determinate if needs be.

    Tommy Toe are excellent.
Green Zebra have an extremely thin skin and on “blushing” to show ripened go very soft very quickly. I will not gronw them again. Anyway, how about the lycopine content in green skin, as opposed to the usual red, as the real healthy goodness of toamtoes lies in the skin of sun-ripened fruit.
