“Early Adelaide Type”
Often grown as the one to ‘beat your mates’, this tomato can be grown to have fruit by christmas. It will ripen at slightly lower (20-23deg cel.) tempartures than other mid-late varieties. It is also one of those classical looking segmented fruit that I call an ‘adelaide’ type. Fruit shops love this one for flavour and it is a good seller in season, which with greenhouse growing has now become much longer. You never used to see them in Melbourne in winter !
The plant grows to a medium height and will benefit from the removal of early sideshoots.
